In the serene aftermath of a heart-wrenching storm that swept through my life, I found solace in the written words of John Green. Amidst the towering stacks of books that took space in my room, each bearing the old beauty of time and cherished memories, one book stood out like a beacon — Green’s “The Fault in Our Stars.” It’s a narrative that plunges deep into the delicate world of existence and affection.

My heart still pulses with life, yet my memories are fading, and I am resolute in my endeavor to breathe life into those vanishing memories. Thus, it’s no surprise that I’ve chosen this particular book, with its profoundly resonant words spoken by Augustus to Hazel, words that encapsulate the unvarnished truth of his love: “ I’m in love with you, and I’m not in the business of denying myself the simple pleasure of saying true things. I’m in love with you, and I know that love is just a shout into the void, and that oblivion is inevitable, and that we’re all doomed, and that there will come a day when all our labor has been returned to dust, and I know the sun will swallow the only earth we’ll ever have, and I am in love with you.”
